Too Strict Too Far ! - Our Children have rights too !
After hearing so many stories from my children who attend a school in Merseyside and from stories I have read in the paper today I am disgusted to find the way children are being treated over a thing so small as the wrong colour socks or a small metal badge on their shoes ,firstly if the children go to school in plain black no name shoes its a bullying target then when the kids are being bullied it goes on and on and the teachers don't want to know , but the concern for such a small problem is getting worse, no wonder so many children don't wish to go to school , I am also concerned that all schools take this uniform more seriously than the children's health , my son and daughter were told they couldn't remove their blazers when they were sweating on a 24 degree c day , the school were more interested in making sure all the kids were looking the same, then to make the situation worse the heating has been on in summer with warm weather , what on earth is going on, if a child attends school with a tie half up instead of long its not that much of a problem at least they are attending, if the have a small metal tag or small emblem on black shoe or the shoes are all black but trainer style then they are still black what on earth is the problem education is much more important than the school trying to win points for neatest uniform's etc., if the girls come to school in pants they are sent home why?, it should be a girls right to wear pants instead of a skirt or kilt if they want so why cant they, they come to school in the wrong colour tights its a problem again but to be honest I don't see a problem and I'm sire thousand's others agree with me that is why I'm starting to fight this uniform rules as children have rights too so I am now going to look into as far as possible and stop this nonsense yes ok they should wear a blazer or jumper and black pants but that's far enough stop there don't bring them down by shouting at them and sending them home turn a blind eye like most of the teachers do when bullying is happening so surely this isn't all that important, kids have enough to worry about in school never mind strict uniform policy as well ,it should be black trainers or black shoes with small logo or silver tag / plating allowed no problems there that I can see, any socks should be allowed, girls should be allowed highlights in their hair after all its their hair so where does the school come into telling someone they cant change something on their own being, it doesn't have that right , I agree the highlights should not be bright pink ,green, orange but a subtle and agreeable colour , as with boys haircuts again anything goes but no bright colours, stud earrings should also be allowed , but at own risk and parents should be aware of this and that's fair, and all children should be able to remove their jumpers in lessons if too hot or blazers as again no one has the right to tell a child to keep the jumper on if they wish to remove it who on earth are these people running these schools ?, Please contact us with your uniform stories in Merseyside to KIDSHAVERIGHTSTOO@WRITEME.COM we are waiting to hear from you , please include school but you don't need to include your name if you don't want to we wont publish it anyway, thanks everyone,
